The local downtown merchants stage a "Downtown Tuseday Night", every Tuesday evening during the summer featuring vendor booths, food, music, and pre-1973 cars. This past Tuesday was the kick-off, so I decided to take my car out for its debut. This picture popped out at me on the front page of the community section of the Sunday morning paper :D:D:D (nice to be recognized [^] )

Phil, Very nice. Now I'm doubting that is a murial painted in your hood....which means you are a waxer! I don't say that in a disparaging way...I'm a waxer too. Congratulations on the unexpected, but I'm sure appreciated, attention.

Phil,

They do get the attention, that's why others are jealous.
I know that made you feel good, you have a nice car.

Sure would have been better if that was a knock out semi-clad lady in that reflection[:P]

Thanks guys. There were a ton of cars, but I honestly believe the Cobra got the most attention, by far. It's amazing how a car that is 40 years old is still recognized and idolized by old guys, young gals, and kids!

Bitten - I'll see what I can do for the next go-around ;)

Phil, You'll have to change the color to orange if you want semi clad ladies close to your car.

Congrats Phil! What a great photo! As one of those old guys I fell in love with the Cobra back in 1966 it was on the back cover of Sports Car Graphics magazine! It only took me 30+ years to have my own and a better one at that!

Thanks Ralph, although I didn't have the heart to tell gasman I did have a mural of an old guy and the Tower Theater painted on my hood ;)

Phil,

With a car that looks as good as yours, you better get used to alot of attention.

Wish you could have made it to homecoming.

Brent,

There is no one that wishes I had been able to attend homecoming more than me, unfortunately issues here prevented me from making the trek. Hopefully next year the winds will be right, the stars will align, and I will be in attendance.

It was fun at the show with the car receiving the attention it did, but I have to tell you, having peers such as you , Rick, and all the others on this forum providing positive feedback is a bigger thrill for me. [^][^][^]

Isn't the Internet wonderful and thanks to the guys who came up with this forum and continue to operate it. It makes us like neighbors though we live so far a part.
