Juan,

I just got off the phone with Eliminator and I am bringing the car and the family on sunday. 1000 muscle cars should be awesome.[:O] I will miss the judging on saturday but that's OK I haven't had a chance to wax the frame anyway:D I am looking forward to seeing the differences between my car and a Superformance. Should be fun.

I want to meet the KY Cobra bunch too. I'm only 2 hours away.

Hi Brent:

I am looking forward to meeting you on Sunday. Rick has told me about your car and am looking forward to seeing it also. Also I would like to welcome you as a new member of our club. There are no dues or fees to join.

I am looking forward to featuring your car on our website. As soon as you can send me some digital photos of your car I will load them on the website. Visit the websit6e and see how we are using the photos of member cars.

Saturday Report,

Arrived at 7:30 AM, since the trailer is in the shop I drove in from my house which is on the South Side of Louisville. Nice drive it was already 78 degree's.
Met up with Juan and about 200 cars ready to go.
By 9:30 Cheryl and the support vehicle arrived, with the pop-up shelter, chairs, cooler, and (my rain gear[V]).
By 9:45 AM a few rain drops started falling:(.
It then went from bad to real bad, in summary a total rain out. Car covers were the order of the day, only 2 Cobra's showed up, don't know if we are real Troopers or Idiots:).
We had a nice sunny break around noon for 45 minutes then the big one hit. Had to call Brent on the cell phone to pull up the weather channel, not good.
Winds blowing off secured car covers, chairs blowing everywhere, 3 adults holding on to the 8X10 pop-up for dear life, while Cheryl makes a run for the Durango:(.
We survived, Juan's wife Cindy, and Cheryl are soaked in the Durango and Juan and I have let the top down on the shelter to about 4' and are huddled inside sitting on coolers and holding on to the shelter.
Finaly got a break about 6:00 PM, loaded up and drove home with threating sky's and a light rain, the roads were 95% dry so I was at Straffing Speed on I-65 headed for the dry garage.
Today is Sunday and the Sun is out nice and bright, how long I don't know, better check with Brent and see if he is on the way. Today will be a day of decisions, looks kinda bleak after 12:00, scattered thunderstorms, 40%[V]. The two Cobra's did get Judged late in the day after the 3rd cover off period of about 30 minutes.
Garage is full of numerous items, drying off:).

Made the trip to Louisville on Sunday and the weather finally cooperated. I enjoyed meeting Juan and his wife and as usual the cars recieved tons of compliments. If you guys have a chance check out the Ky. Cobra site it is really cool and Juan does it all himself.

Clay,
There were only two Cobras in the show BUT..... and this is cool (-:
I am sure there were some seroiusly upset Ford guys at the awards presentation. There were about 75 Fords in the show total. A couple of Shelbys and two "non driven trailer queen restorations" were also in attendance. When they announced the "Best Ford in show" was Rick Bagley in a replica. OH MY GOD!!! They had a judging team brought in from out of town and they judged the cars on a point system. That's something to be really proud of.

Brent

ps. This will make you all jealous... I have a copy of Kit Car magazine that is persomally autographed by Butch Capps and Rick Bagley. (-:

Clay, it does go to prove it was you and not the color of the car. He did not give any HOT women a ride all day long:D
