What is the ideal length of the tranny for the correct shifter location for the Unique? I have the 24 inch but is the 27 inch better with the traditional style shifter?

From what I remember from a conversation with Butch Capps, there can be several shifter locations with each tail shaft lenght. So some will work and some will not. If I had both I would go with the shorter tail shaft with the correct shifter location. The drive shaft angle going into the rear end is better and clears the safety loop better. I though we coverd this before...did you ever call Butch at Mid South Gear???

Butch had the short tail housing on his car and switched to the long tail housing, like I have, this winter.
