Sterling Replicars of Sterling Va is having an open house August 14th, they are an authorized assembler for Unique motorcars in the DC area. Maurice Weaver will be on hand along with several Unique owners, Bill and Susan Parham from Southern Automotive will also be there with a fresh built Hemi on a run in stand. The Capital Area Cobra Club will be there with several different makes of Cobra replicas. Unique will have their 36 Cabriolet on display so all you street rod guys will have something to look at. Anyone interested in bringing a car or just coming to look should call Lee Dahmer at 703-404-0663 or 202-957-3947.

Alan,

I'll be there as will be a large contingent of the Capital Area Coba Club. Looking forward to seeing the 36.

Clay I got to see 36 Cabriolet last friday and it is very nice. Infact my wife liked it better than the Cobra (especialy after me and Alan worried her about the hot sidepipes) and with a sh*t eating grin she asked me if I would settle for one of those instead. LOL Of course she knew the answer to that, she just likes to rattle my cage. lol

I know my wife would love one of the 36 Fords.
Then I would not have to hear the moaning and groaning
about the Cobra being an 'unfriendly car'....no heater..
no radio...no top....no mirrors to do my hair (love that one)

I am not a scientist nor do I read tea leaves, so I am relying on my ability to "read" weather and I am cancelling Saturday. I am not at all happy about the idea, but I am pretty sure the way the Weather Channel et al are predicting what is brewing that Saturday will be a bust and you all know how I feel about rain on our pretty little cars! Anyway, I may try again and let you all know when!
Please pass the word on the cancellation.

Lee

Bummer... when I hear of the rain date, I'll let you all know.
