Patrick, or anyone else in the know:

Within the last week, every time I log on, I'm getting a "Runtime error do I wish to debug" message, when visiting the Unique website. It also gives me the same error message every time I change to a different subject within the site. Does anyone have insight as to why this is happening?

No, but it is obvious that there is problems within the site. I have been trying to post pics for a while with no success. I downloaded and tried to post pics with a different system today and still no luck. I know that the problem isn't on my end because I posted the pics on a different forum with success!

I'm not aware of any problems with the site right now. I haven't made any changes in a long time. Has anything changed on your PC? Can you test from a different machine?

I'm fine too, and no problems with uploading photos.

My office PC works great, never experiencing any problems or errors. My newer home PC started acting up last week. Both use XP operating systems. No problems using other sites.

Steve, that would seem to implicate something in the set-up of your home PC. Did you automatically download and install the new Windows XP update (Service Pack 2), which was supposed to be released yesterday. I've been warned not to do that yet, until all the bugs are identified.

Clay, No, this problem started almost ten days ago, for no apparent reason. I read the same caution over on the CC site. No problem using that site.

How about third party firewall software? I've seen problems with Symantec Internet Security.

Patrick, I'm running that too, with no problems. But, I'm not using the highest security settings.

Gasman and others having problems, what security settings are you set on if you are running Norton Internet Security suite, which comes on virtually all new computers? It's worth exploring if there are compatibility issues with those and this site.

If is used to work and recently stopped it is some sort of setting that was changed or software installed. Do you have a restore point from a couple weeks back you can use? And have you run a spyware program like "AdAware" recently? Those spyware programs can really screw up your computer.

Steve, there are three reasons why these problems occur. The first is that the web page author made some programming error(if this was the case we all would be getting the same error). The second reason may be that you are running a pop-up killer that closes pop-up windows so fast that the script on the web page fails. The third is that you might have some adware or spyware installed on your computer that opens the script error pop-ups.

How to disable script and runtime errors
You can configure Internet Explorer to ignore these script and runtime errors. Please follow this step-by-step guide:

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Click on Tools, then on Internet Options.

3. Click on the Advanced tab.

4. Look for the "Disable script debugging" line and put a check mark in the box.

5. Now look for the "Display a notification about every script error" line and remove the check mark in the box.

Well I did download the newest and greatest Norton anti virus with the Symantec Internet Security. Can't afford to turn it off, as the windows Xp system is under constant attack. So what do I do?

Kelly,

You can go to the Norton control panel, just click on the desktop icon, and turn everything down to the medium settings, if it's not already. That's what I run with no issues.

I just checked, all of my setting are medium.

Kelly, I think your picture issue was just a size limitation. All I did was reduce it to 75% of the size you sent me. All the sites you haunt have different size limitations.

Problem fixed, mucho thank's to CJ. All that was required was to check the disable debug in the advanced setup box. Don't really understand how or why this problem occured, as no changes were made in setup. These things have a mind of their own. Beam me up Scotty.

Clay, are we talking height and width size or file size?

If you have trouble uploading images, reduce the file size. You can do this by either reducing the overall dimensions of the image or the image quality.
