I think he's worried that the judges might notice his front tires stick out too far from the wheel wells. Phil, that's really a stunning paint job........looks 3 feet deep in that photo.

The guy with his arms crossed is building an FFR (since 2002). The car next to mine is an LA Exotic/B&B, and yeah, the tires stuck out front and rear (kinda like those LA low-riders). The whole award thing surprised the heck out of me. After the guy notified me I had won 1st place I just kind of stood there dumb-founded with my mouth open. The woman with him asked, "why aren't you jumping up and down?" I replied, "Because my wife is!" She was more excited than anyone :D She really got into describing the car to people who were interested... you know, "Yes, it isn't beautiful? It's a 247 Cobra!" [B)];)

Folks in Chico are now familair with Unique Motorcars.... to be sure :D

I forgot mention - I was in the "X" Class (Replicas and Prototypes)
