does it make the shine better if one waxes more than once? never really cared before, but car looks so nice after a good cleaning and waxing, just wondered if it made the shine deeper if done more than once.

thanks

Seems to.... at least the first couple of times. Now I'm pretty confident this topic will spark the "great debate" among a few of our members, but remember - some like to caress more than other :D

It does with this stuff, which is amazing on a dark car:

Mine's silver so it always looks shiny no matter whether I do anything or not, but I've used this on my black Audi, and it's unbelieveable!

Steve,
I think Rick and I were tearing up the foothills of Tennessee while you were waxing your car in the garage.

I also recommend the Zaino stuff. After two coats, you'll think, "So what?" But after a few more, you'll begin to see the REAL difference.

I accidentally left the garage door open the other night and a soon-to-be-dead cat attempted to climb onto the nose of my car. I have some not-so-nice cat scratches where her claws apparently couldn't grip well enough to keep her from sliding to the floor. Damn cat. Why didn't she choose the Honda instead?

Soap box derby my butt! Just wait until Homecoming 05 buddy boy. You'll be looking a very different car. I'm heading out for SA at the crack of dawn. They test ran my motor several times today. Patrick was there and heard it run and took pictures to post on the site later today. Susan sent me the bill and I'm very pleased with how fair and reasonable they were. All I can say is the Parhams are Great folks!

That's fantastic news Steve. Did they give you the dyno numbers?

Bill didn't put the motor on his dyno. He doesn't think it does the engine any good to run it that hard as soon as it is bolted together, and I tend to agree. My plan is to install the motor and do a mild break in on the rear wheel dyno here in Augusta. We should have some good comparison numbers knowing that it produced 306HP at the rear wheel before the rebuild. I hope this isn't starting to sound like the Keith Craft takes the challange BS.

No, I agree. For some reason, I thought Bill did that. The only reason to dyno it, is to use that as a tuning technique. I honestly don't care b/c it's obvious when enough is enough.

Hi Doug....
Well you have used the car all summer...NOW you want to polish
it before it goes away for the winter ( OOP's ..You don't get winter
in LA do you.?)
Anyway as someone who does not have to polish or wax his Cobra, here's my advice on getting that deep looking shine.
I always use Meguires on my other cars.
Remember it's the 'polish' that will give the care that depth of shine
you are looking for.....go for a few coats.
The wax is purely a protector from the elements....maybe you might get another Ivan coming thru there.

we got Ivan this afternoon, a much needed rain, almost 4".
we were under a burn ban due to late summer's lack of rain.

i can't help but feel sympathy for the millions who lost it all during this years hurincane season, and now another one forcast for FL.
