i believe that the current group of builders are a lot smarter than i was, (or will ever be). there is hardly any chatter on the forum, asking questions on how to do something. this is a quiet group.

doug, i think its got alot to do with a couple of things. first, as of today, theres 1000 topics on this forum. you can find the answer to almost any build question there. second , the car is a very easy build. and i think that people building uniques have enough car savvy to know its not a tough build. anybody got any other thoughts? later, brian

I thought it was because there are certain people here, who in the past, have talked entirely too much[B)]. I have a friend ;)who decided that he would back off a bit, and let other people talk for awhile.

Well Clay I guess I havent been here long enough to fully understand that. But I talk so much because I enjoy seeing and hearing as many ideas I can. I've grown up building hotrods,motors,etc... and the one thing I've learned is that there is always a better way to do something. To be honest I wouldnt have come here nor would I have even known about the Weavers if it were not for you guys so no one should feel like they need to back off I hope.

CJ....it was all just intended as a little light-hearted, making fun of myself. When I first came here, I was all over the board, asking questions, cracking jokes, just having fun. Before I knew it, I found myself being the top-poster here....how'd that happen:D?That's all I meant.

What I love about this place is how accepting and helpful it is. Truly a home....................

I could only wish I could give back a fraction of what I received from participating here.

Did any of you ever realize that a very disproportionately high percentage of really cool people gravitate to owning a Unique vehicle. Fate or some cosmic thing?

Nice observation Aggressor, and very accurate too!;)

I just wish some of the old "regulars" would come back. They are some of the coolest people here.

Back to the comment about a "quiet group".
It comes from Inner Peace - A Zen thing puntuated with mind-bending, reallity altering, eight barrel howling runs to the redline.

Now please excuse me for some redline meditation.

Maybe we should all make an effort to contact them and Rattle their cages. Take them by the hand and lead them into the light - to a better site. Back to Zen

That's funny..........I long for the spirited technical discussions we had here, not so long ago. They will, no doubt, return again.

It's good to see the "new blood" here.

And my 4 wheeler is just sitting in the garage wondering WTH is going on. LOL Just got to laugh about because if I didnt I'd just have to .....

Will,

My reach out and touch em coyote weapon is a 220 swift, hard to get away from 55 grains at 3900 FPS[^]. For close work I like a 12 Ga with 00 Buck Shot, works every time;). We need to trim some at the farm this winter.

I like my 22-250 Ackley 30" barrel Ruger 60gr HPBT at 4000fps,
they swell up like they had swalowed a firecracker before they fall over.

I am shooting a ruger mini 14, 223 -55gr. ,can,t see as good as i use too so have to get him in closer, if i can hit his rib cage ,he,s mine.223 explodes will be mush.Oh yeah, don,t handle a coyote with bare hands, he carries a rare liver disease in humans and there is no known cure for it.Have a dog-big rascal, named him bighead, fetches armadillos, brings them for me to see, gosh-they stink-they carry leprosy, so have to be careful with those things. Oh, yea, 22-250 is a super varmint gun, can reach out and touch one.Son cyrus has 243, good gun for such. Am currently feeding coyotes dogfeed from wally-world, ol roy, in a dog feeder , see how that works.Coyotes are attacking folks here, had two reports this yr. , two att. a man at bowdon , ga. next door, dog interc. got one off ,he choked other one down. Cousin Hal baling hay, one cut him off from tractor, growling and whining, neighbor ran down there and shot him.Guess we will have to gang up on them rascals, shoot a few. I plan to do lot of hunting this time, have two shooting houses for such.Will-Alabama.

I'm more of a handgun guy. I shoot a Thompson single shot 14" barrel at 200 meters with open sights in silhouette competition. I also have a nice custom Caspian 38 Super with a 19 shot capacity and electronic sights and a lot of titanium parts. The Mini 14 sits in a closet neglected. I really should take it out more often.

Mine is 7mm TCU. I use a Nosler 150 grain ballistic tip. The TCU is a fun load once you get the hang of resizing the 223 cartridge without splitting the case.

Yea, Long range (1000yd) shooting is one of my other faults
use a 140gr 6.5 in a necked down blown out ackley style 284 case,
52gr of H4831 gets 3000fps at muzle, my best 10 shot groupe is 8" and Greg shot a 6.008" groupe.

JerryBP, I also shoot long range! But mostly with open sites. When its not hunting season me along with 5 other buddies practice every chance we can. Most of us do very well. We have a full size buffalo out of 3/4" plate steel which is like the ones road crews use when they have to cover holes they dig in the street. Its set up at 1000 yards and we shoot a steel ram at 750. We get together and compete for bragging rights against other groups of guys we know. I shoot a Shilo Sharps 45-110 with a vernier and a hooded barrel front sight. At 500 yards we shoot paperplates all day long. So we dont do to bad for guys without a scope lol Heres a pic of my 45-110 Sharpshttp://www.uniquecobra.com/uploaded/KrAzEcJ/sharps.jpg

Patrick heres a shot of my TC its the alloy version that I had Fox Ridge Outfitters convert so I could use all the barrels blue or stainless. You probably already know this Patrick but Fox Ridge does all TC's custom work. Nice bunch of folks if your needing anything. http://www.foxridgeoutfitters.com/
