how do you remove the splined fitting where the wiper arms attach? the existing ones are too big and need to be replaced with smaller ones supplied with wiper arms. The replacements have set screws but i don't see anything like that on the ones that came with the car

Scott.
If you got the correct ANCO replacement arm and blade , it should be
a direct push on fit over the splined wiper hub.
I believe ( when I got my kit.) that the wiper assemblies were
ex. MGB.
What ever they were, the blades and arms noted in the Unique assembly
manual fitted perfectly.( 1991 assembly manual..5 sheets of paper.)
Some of the 60's style MGB arms had a splined base AND a set screw
that clamped up on the hub.( I have a 68 MGB-GT.)
Hope this helps......
Happy New Year.

Mike is right. Try NAPA (Never Any Parts Available) for the right ANCO blades. They'll slip right on. Can be a bear to remove, though... I eventually took mine off the car completely because one of the srings broke (cheap China crap). Besides, I stopped driving in the rain and it looks cleaner without them anyway.
