May as well get this topic in the right place.

As Alan indicated, Homecoming will be Friday May 13th thru Saturday May 14th.
Many will do like last year, arrive Thur. the 12th and go to the Top of the River Resturant Thursday night[^].
All of the folks leaving on Sunday usually go out Saturday night to eat at the Mexican Place:D, remember Brent;)
Night life is at the Hampton Inn Parking Lot[:P].

Tony and Phil I like the Hampton Inn Gadsden that is where the night life happens. Lots of space for trailer parking unless they have used up the parking lot since last year

Phil,
Last year my dad and I flew into Birmingham, it's an hour-fifteen from the Unique shop and has enough traffic that fares are pretty reasonable.

All,
Dad and I will be there again this year although the Spence car will not be on the road yet...We are still shooting for Pigeon Forge. Not sure if I'll bring the partially completed car over or the '66 Mustang. I am leaning towards the pony car...Driving the rental on the cruise was plain cruel.

Brian, plus you can always rent a car to drive home with all that extra cash. If you haven't sold it by then, there should be plenty of interested parties.

I'm planning on it as well. Hopefully I won't get caught in the rain again, or rush hour in Atlanta, or forget to latch my trunk leaving the gasstation (broke trunk hinge), or find a leak in my water pump when I get to Gadsden, or whatever else may happen.

Everyone remembers the untold horrors that preceded the month or so before homecoming last year??? Let's keep our fingers crossed.

When you call the Gadsden Hampton Inn make sure you tell them you are with the Cobra Group.

The normal non smoking King bed room is 98.00 per night but if you tell them you are with the Cobra Group it is 65.00 per night and two queen beds is even less.

I had considered bringing the car, but I am also interested in bringing the '66 Mustang so that I have something to drive. I know that a couple folks would enjoy seeing the Spence car. Heck, it would allow more than a few guys on this forum to visit with their old parts! This car is a 'group' effort in more ways than one!

Hi All:

This will be my first trip to Homecoming and am looking forward to meeting you all. I have met some of you during last year's Pigeon Forge trip. That was the trip that made me decide to buy a Unique FIA.

This will be the first time that my wife and I will be together for a Unique event. We just made reservations so we are looking forward to Homecoming.

By the way, my 289 FIA Turnkey should be pretty much on its way to being finished at Unique, I am looking forward to seeing it for the first time.
