How do you get wiper arms off

This should be easy, I'm just missing something. I thought you could just pull them off the motor shaft, but they will not budge. Must be some sort of locking key or something I'm missing.

Yes, I'm actually finally installing the windshield glass that got cracked by a rock at homecoming last year. I'm tired of hopping over the new windshield in my garage.

They are a pain in the a$$.[V][V]
There is a little u shaped sring clip on the inside of each blade.
Be really carefull and use a small screw driver to release the spring clip while pulling out on the wiper blade. Once it clears and rests on the rotating assy. you can pull the wiper off.

Suggestion put down some masking tape and a thick towel so if the screwdriver slips you won't mess up your paint.
