Alan;
There's a better than even chance I might be working in Birmingham during the homecoming and could run up to Gadsden Sat. or Sun. Is there anything I can do there without a Cobra? Would the other guys laugh at my rental minivan and make me cry?

Bill,
My dad and I were there last year in a rental Mazda and weren't alone. This year we'll be there again even though our FIA Cobra won't be done until the leaves start to turn. The Saturday morning cruise will be more fun if you opt for something a bit more sporty while at the Hertz counter, but you certainly won't be the only non-Cobra at the event. Phil is coming from California (unfortunately) without is stunning ride. At a minimum we can all lament together!

We have received 29 entries as of today, if you know you are coming but haven't sent your entry form in please don't wait too long. The Hampton Inn would only block off 40 rooms, so if you want to stay there don't delay.

We seemed to have stalled at 48, if you know you are coming don't wait to the last minute. If you are coming without a car we still need to know, if you need a entry form email me.

I called Jean yesterday and told her that I wouldn't be able to make it this year. :( My wife is due to deliver our daughter on May 23rd. If I'm in Alabama when my wife's water breaks, well, let's just say there'd be hell to pay!

Unless you've done it first-hand, you cannot begin to imagine just how frustrating it can be to plan a large event (especially one that involves catering - $$$$) without the necessary RSVP's. If you know for a fact that you're NOT going, just place a quick email or call and tell them so. That way they won't include you in the "gray" group. It makes the life of an event planner so much easier when people RSVP.

I sent 70 invitations for my son's 2nd birthday party (which was last Saturday). I told the caterer to cook enough for 35. We had about 18 show up. The lack of RSVP's cost me $220 in extra barbecue.

Alan I'll be attending and possibly Andrea as well. I'll send my form tomorrow. I have reservations at the Hampton.

Not sure if I'll bring the car. - I want to get some feed back from the Unique family so I may bring a proto-type of my new, never done before, tralier. Don't ask about putting the car in it - the proto-type is smaller than the car hauler.

I'm going to be attending but not with the car. Not sure if I noted that on the registration form. I have to be in Chicago on Sunday morning for a baptism so I'll be leaving late morning on Saturday.

I am the wife of Will from Alabama and I do not throw rocks from the car. But we do many things with the Cobra that are much more FUN. You folks that have not yet decided to come to Homecoming need to make a positive decision. Come enjoy the Southern hospitality and the Southern countryside,...... beautiful cruise. Don't worry about not having Cobra for the cruise, we will have kids (grown-up, you know the fun kind) and they will drive my Mustang, if they don't manage to con us into driving the Mustang and letting them have the Cobra. Looking forward to wonderful time, getting to see old friends and making new ones.

Many of you may not understand the Married 30, Will gave me the Cobra for our 30th wedding anniversary. Also explains our tag MRD30. And as you all can tell from his sense of humor it has been a fun 30, now 34, and looking forward to many, many, more. Maybe another Cobra in the future.

Rick,

My car won't make it, but I still hope to. The car's fine, but I started a new job recently, and I'm just buried. I don't have the days it takes to trailer down and back, but I'm hoping to fly in, if my schedule allows.

As some of you well know my car is being built at the Weavers and will not be done until June so here is my question: Can I get a ride with someone at the Homecoming cruise? My wife and I will arrive thursday night and will be there on Friday and Saturday. Would hate to be there and not ride in a Cobra.

Looking forward to see all of you guys.

Juan, Will has "gone fishing", the color is a Mercedes color, Firemist Metallic Pearl and I think it was on 2000 Mercedes. We had orginally chosen a 3 step paint and wanted to change to a 2 step. We took the paint book from the body shop out into natural sunlight and spent about 2 hours debating the color. We have been very pleased with it.
