Cool remote filter mount

I think I am going to change my remote filter mount. When I built the car I just mounted it with a black piece of metal off of the cross bar in front of the water pump pulley. I am going to keep it in the same place but I want a better looking mount. [:P]

Anybody have a picture of a neat mount on their car or something cool they have seen on another car?

Brent, I used a 1/2" thick piece of alum stock at the same location as you. I don't think it's exceptional but if I polish it might be.:D

I cut a piece of 3/16" brushed stainless steel plate. Copied the one that came with the car.

Sorry Brent, I saw your post but I havent gotten that far yet. lol But I'l be watching this topic for future reference. I did purchase Cantons billet aluminum remote adapter but the tie wrap idea isnt worth sharing. J/K ing

I purchased a System 1 filter and a mount off of e-bay. The mount was red as were the fittings. I had them stripped and anodized bright silver. I bought endura fittings and polished them. Stripped the flat black filter assy and polished the fins then applied candy apple red paint to the rest of the canister. 1/4 T-6 aluminum and some polished stainless hardware. Looks better than it did.

The filter is all stainless steel and you can clean it . It sure makes it easy to see what is going on inside the engine.

We're making ours now...Pictures in a few weeks. We'll use the Canton remote mount which is a nice billet piece with a separate backing plate.
