Well if the big brown truck doesn't arrive pretty darn soon I will be pushing mine to Gadsden. Building a 408 stroker cleveland and have the pistons and rods but am still waiting on the crank[xx(]

Everything that was chromed or silver ceramic coated other than the roll bar, I have had to redo (no fault of the Weavers just poor quality vendor work and did not hold up on the gulf coast).

Chromed the side pipes and Oh my God will they look great on The Orange One[^]

If only I had an engine to bolt them to:(

I see the midnight oil burning.

So Brent, you've been very quiet leading up to homecomming, what surprises do you have in store?

If I bring my car I might wash it - for the second time.

I may bring a prototype trailer I'm working on - just to gauge the response.

Kelly,

Is your crank being made? Is it a new piece for Scat? Their stuff is "usually" easy to get/

Nothing for looks this time. All mechanical. I replaced the front sway bar, added a rear sway bar (e-bay for $9.99 plus a little powder coat ), added a pcv assy with a crank case filter,16" Spal fan, Yokohama tires, push button starter switch assy., Flaming River vibration dampner in the steering column, Moto Lita 14" leather steering wheel, System 1 remote, cleanable, oil filter and new billet mount.

New Valve covers with breather stacks and the Bilsteing Shocks with Hypercoil Springs.
And getting to Homecoming will be a little more pleasant with the 2005 2500 Dodge Ram with that nice Cummins Diesel, Flame Red of course. Just at 1,000 miles on it and so far 21.9 MPG on the road and 19.8 MPG in the city.

I got a nice new scratch on my drivers side rear fender from that damn LeMans hard top. I wish I could figure out what to do with that thing, I'm tired of moving it around.

My car should be close to being finished at Homecoming. The Weavers are building me a Turnkey minus. Surprise, surprise, can't wait to see it and share it with you all. I will have been without a Cobra for 4 months at homecoming. The Unique 289 can't arrive fast enough for me.

Well, let's see..... added remote brake bias adjuster, heat shield around the clutch slave, bumperette's (uprights) f&r, new MSD distributor and 8.5mm wires, door sills and emblems, and some miscellaneous clean-up behind the dash. Still haven't waxed the frame :D

Here's a photo of the sills... the other stuff has already been posted.

It is a Scat, they are the only ones that make a "cleveland" forged steel stroked crank and they know it! My machinist made repeated calls today to find out the status of the crank that was suppost to be delivered weeks ago and no one would return the call, What does that tell you!

Jason,

I am interested in your "Super FE" also. Will you be giving demo rides?

You can have Bill standing there talking about his engine and selling tickets for rides in your car;)

I need to get to know the Atlanta contigent of Unique owners. I live in Marietta.

See you at homecoming.

More stuff...

Door sills and Ford emblem installed last night.

Bilstein shocks and Hypercoil coilovers should arrive at Unique today/tomorrow and hopefully to me and installed next week.

Oh yeah ... comfy SPF seats now installed.

... and maybe some rookie stripes painted on if I have time.

Brent

Could you post pics of how the SPF seats fit in the Unique?

I think rookie stripes are cool!

I too want to hear about the Super FE.

Will do on the SPF seats. they are a bit higher and had to turn them slightly out from center due to the tran tunnel, but all fits. They are very comfortable. I'll take some pics tonight. Have a set of used Unique seats with "upgraded" tempurpedic foam that I'll probably be offering up at some point.

I had Finish Line's red vinyl team/rookie stripes last year at Homecoming and really liked the look, but never got it painted. On the to do list. Homecoming '04 Pictures: http://www.netpatrick.com/cobra_unique_may04.htm

Bilstein's are installed and car realigned. These things are GREAT! Put about 100 miles on this weekend and the ride difference is tons better than my old setup (coilover front / standard back). Now I just have to get rid of all those rattles in the rest of the car! :D
