Last night Rick (eliminator) and I installed the Comp Cams' Roller Rockers. They are neat.

Next the intake manifold, valve cover spacers and distributor. We are getting close to finish. Then the clutch, Hyd Throw out bearing and transmission.

It is looking like the middle of June for the car to be ready to be picked up and then on to the engine install.

Enjoy the photos.

Patrick:

We are using the Edelbrock Air Gap Performer with a Quick Fuel Technologies 650cfm Carburetor. Nothing too radical with approximately 365hp. at the flywheel.

Juan,

Make sure you check the geometry of the rockers and the placement of the roller on the valve stem at 1/2 lift.

Looks great!

Hi Brent:

I am a novice at this, so, can you explain the process of checking the geometry of the rockers? Maybe Rick is planning to do just that, I will check with him, I am just a cleanup boy. Thanks for the tip.

Juan, Hope that Quick Fuel Carb works out better for you than it did for me. If anyone wants to buy a 750 CFM please send me a PM.

Hi Steve:

What type of problem did you have with the Quick Fuel carburetor?

Does anyone know how to set the float level and adjust the 4 corner idle on a Holley[?]
Also need info on selecting the correct power valve and jetting the carburetor;).

now here is a man that needs help, flavor of discussion is getting deep, old southern saying says"don,t start nothing and there won,t be nothing".Rick, it,s been a long time, but ,bet old Zach and Cy could help us with this one.Ralph, like that little red snake wagging his tail.Brent-looked at that truck at gadsden, great buy.Will-alabama

But Rick........Bill Parham said it was the Quick Fuel didn't he?

Maybe it had some zinc that flaked off of those grade 2 Ace Hardware bolts and washers. OH wait, he only uses those on the valvetrain. My mistake.

yes, indeed, professor vernon von studebaker could sort things out , particularly, if he had just a small swig of that DIXIE LIGHTNING: you missed it Clay, passing it out at homecoming, sample bottles and all.Sure helps a soul sleep better.Will-alabama
