Alan has made my day this morning.

He just sent me these photos of my car at one of the final stages of completion of my 289 turnkey. I am not directly involved in the build but these photos make me feel a little bit closer to the process. I will continue to post the photos of my turnkey build as soon as I get them.

Enjoy the photos,

Thanks Alan,

Juan

Oh, boy, does that ever look GOOO-OOD!

You're gonna have more (new) friends than you ever thought possible, juan1. Did I read somewhere you're looking to put wire wheels on it too?

I see a new picture car for the Unique web site.

Yes I am so excited, man o man.

And yes, I am going with wire wheels, just not right now. I have to wait until the swelling from the financial damage subsides as I am way over budget already. But I will get them on the car as soon as I can.

Thanks.

Hi Tony. Thanks for the compliment but all the credit goes to Alan and Maurice. They are doing so wonderful of a job with my car. I am quite sure they treat all their jobs with the same level of quality of fit and finish but since it is my car I feel like they are doing an extraordinary job. I am biased.

As for the wire wheels Dayton Wire Wheels is the manufacturer I am talking to. Once the car is finished all I need to do is take one front and one rear wheel and tire and they will fit the right wire wheel. They have been really nice to deal with also.

Looks great Juan. I would suggest some insulation in the master cylinder lines.

Hi Ralph:

What kind of insulation do you think I need? I will talk with Rick and see if he knows.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Juan,
I felt the same way with my kit and the care the Weavers were taking. Its nice to know that they take pride in their work.
Looks like a show winner already.
Do they make wire wheels with 3/4" spokes for my 427?:D
or maybe a 600 spoke wheel.:D

Hi Tony:

You may want to go to the website for Dayton Wire Wheel and I think you may find the answer there.

Post photos of your 427 car in this thread, okay? Would love to see the car.

Jaun Will Do on going to Daytons web site.

I will be going to the paintshop Wednesday. I am Taking off early to go by and help sand the car. Being self employed it's hard to take off.
They run two of their mothers shops from 3-10 so I can't just pop by after 6 during the week. Wednesday is Joey's day off from that and he works late in the bodyshop.

What do you want me to post of my car?

Tony

Hi Tony:

Do you have any shots of your car's engine on the chassis. Are you using a manual or electric fuel pump?

Juan I am using a mechanical fuel pump. It came on the engine from Southern Automotives. It is a Carter high volume pump, should be good enough for a street car. Had the same pump on My 63 Galaxie. Just cleaned up and installed my new/used vintage fuel filter.
Here is a shot of the engine in the chassie. Let me know if you want another angle. Can't see the fuel pump to well.

Hi Tony:

Thanks for the photos of your chassis. I think that Alan and Maurice are sending my chassis out on Monday to get fitted with the under car exhaust. I will post new pictures when they send them to me.

I love the black painted centers of your wheels. If I don't get wire wheels I may just do the same with my wheels and paint them black also.

You must be very excited to get your car painted soon, good luck. Post photos of the car after they paint it.

Best regards,

Juan

Juan, No problem.
I can't wait to see your exhaust system. Are you going with the chrome tips like I see on the CSX cars?

I always liked Blacked out centers of wheels since I seen the movie
"Bullit" with the '68 Mustang. Plus CSX3025 wheels have blacked out centers.

Clay, Good luck on locating one. Its a large filter and can flow alot of fuel. I like the fact that when you change the filter you can see what trash if any is in your fuel system. I have all the tools for bending and flaring the pipe.
We can install it in a couple of hours.

Juan, will Alan put your chassie on a lift and take pictures of the exhaust?

Hi Tony:

Yes I will have the chome tips on my exhaust system but I will have to do it after Alan and Maurice are done with the car.

I am hoping that Alan will shoot some pictures of the under car exhaust on a lift. Will keep you guys posted on it since Monday or Tuesday my car is going to the exhaust shop.
