I received a call from the organizers of the Chico Concours d'Elegance asking if I would bring my car up for a photo shot at the Historic Bidwell Mansion. This year's theme is "Ford Performance from T to GT". The idea is to have Carroll Shelby autograph a Cobra photo, and Dan Gurney do the same for a new Ford GT. They will be auctioned at the Gala the night before with the proceeds going to charities designated by the Chico Noon Exchange Club. At any rate, it was quite an honor to be invited and it is for a good cause. I thought I’d share a few that I snapped. One is real… one is not, well, sort of ;) Those new GT's are knock outs [^]

The organizers are gearing up for the 2006 Chico Concours and are soliciting sponsorships for the event. I guess I'm on their mailing list because they are pumping out e-mails. While nosing around their website I came across this photo from last year - Unique 4279436 receiving the 1st place award :D
