Hi Zach:

You are looking good. Wish I could hear the engine rev up. Have you had it on the road yet?

Hi Juan,

Yes, we got it onto the road last Friday night long enough to fuel up, then drove it to the Bowdon cruise on Saturday afternoon. Just about 40 miles in all so far.

While I'm still going thru the GM-recommended break-in process, the engine sounds good under easy acceleration, etc. It's running dual 2.5" pipes, Turbo mufflers, no H- or X-pipe; tone is mellow at idle and cruise, slightly agressive under acceleration. Perfect for a cruiser.

Biggest things I've got to get used to are the power steering conversion & front power disk brake conversion I put in, and the ride. The polygraphite bushings & big swaybars really do wonders for the car, helping it to ride smoothly without the "wallowing" you might expect from a midsize car with stock ride height.

Thanks to you, and everyone else that posted instructions for getting photos onto the board! The only glitch I ran into was discovering that you can't have an "&" sign in photo file names if you want to put them into a message.

Now, I'm anxiously waiting to hear YOUR car! Have a safe trip to pick it up, and best of luck with the remainder of the build!
