Hey y'all!

Well, I finally got some time to play around, change the settings on the computer, and figure out how to post photos. So, here are the long-promised photos of the '67 Chevelle Malibu. These were made last weekend, following a 19-month, body-off restoration/modification in the basement here.

Quick history of the car: was bought new for Mom's first car, Mom & Dad dated in the car, they went on their honeymoon in the car, brought me home from the hospital in the car when I was born, I learned to drive in the car, I proposed to Sandy in it (gave her a set of keys for the car, with her ring tied to the keychain), and we left our wedding in the car. How's that for 38 years condensed into one sentence? :D

Anyway, here they are. Yes, I know that I am posting Chevy photos here at the risk of life & limb! ;)

Here's a couple more photos with some familiar faces & a car that's a bit more familiar to y'all... (Another historical note: the Chevelle was bought new less than 2 blocks from where these two pics were made in Bowdon, GA)

Don't worry about the Chevy thing. All cars are good. Someday I would like to build up a Dodge Challenger convertable with a new generation 5.7L Hemi.

Zach,

That is a very great story and a beautiful car. It's a member of the family and very cool that you're preserving it. Congratulations, and well done!

Your Dad was pretty cool to buy your Mom one of those back then, and to still have it in the family is, well, amazing. Zach, you done good - the car is an absolute beauty! Has your Pop handed over the keys to the Cobra yet? [8D]

Put a crate 350 in it, edelbrock 650, ed. intake, and headers, has plenty of power, Zach,Cy and myself replaced engine in park avenue, 3800 eng. this weekend, locked at 257,000 miles, put 250 dollar junjyard eng. back in it , fired it off sun. pm, runs sweet, will see how far it will go.
