Anyone experience condensation in their SW dash gauges? I notice it when leaving closed garage and driving in high humidity and temp.

Yes we all do. You'll have to get used to it if you have SW gauges.

I suspected that was the case. As hot and humid as it is in Savannah, maybe I should use marine gauges!

I had it just on my fuel gauge for awhile. Seems to have burned away as I took a long night-time drive with the dash lights on....

Savannah may be the only place more humid than Augusta, LOL.

I used a hair dryer and it worked.

Guys
Condensation in your gauges is not just a Southern thing.
I've had condenstion in my gauges here in Canada,
both in summer and winter. ( in winter it turns to ice.)

Talked to the SW rep at the Street Rod Nationals last year about this problem. No solution given, so I guess we just live with it. The Ohio Valley area is up there in the Humidity Rankings....guess the guys in AZ don't have this problem.

Not an unusual phenonmenon at all. We see it in the Cobra gauges, Jeep factory gauges, Sunpro gauges, John Deere gauges, my supposedly waterproof watch lens...:D

Actually, it seems like the "tighter" or more "weatherproof" the instrument supposedly is around here (at home, or here at work in the plant), the worse the problem is. At least the gauges that don't even have a seal can get air circulation and dry out!

Humid South-Central PA checking in!
Same condensation problem here in Harrisburg. As already stated cruising with the dash lights on helps to drive out the moisture.

I guess there is one plus living in CA - no condensation.... ever!

Definitely had it in my SW gauges ... but not in the Autometers I installed this year! :)
