does anyone know a neat way to crimp the large copper terminals (like on starter and solenoid) while cables are still on car? is there an inexpensive tool? thanks.

Jim, do you have room to use a torch and solder the lug on? They do make a tool that you place on a hard surface and strike to crimp, I believe NAPA has it.

Eastwood has a nice tool, I bought one and it works very good.
Just look on the Eastwood site.

thanks. yes the eastwood tool is $30. i might as well solder them because i would have to remove cables anyway to get a solid place to smash the crimp tool.
