I was going through my files and came across this shot of Rick Bagley's car in the town of Bardstown, Kentucky, and I could not resist posting it.

What a beautiful Unique, front or rear.

Just kidding Rick, my friend Computerworks (Ron Richards) the historian swears that's the way it's supposed to be (from his catalog of 60's photos when they were unmolested)............I don't really know. Since it's a 5-10 swap, I imagine a lot of original cars appear both ways.

Just personal preference like everything else............

On many cars, mine being one of them, you can only do it one way. The Quick Jack Bars if turned will hit the nose of the car.[V]

Rick, it is interesting as to what is really correct. For example ERA and Shelby turn them in on their 427s, whereas Kirkham and Unique do the opposite. As I said before, who knows? I just eliminated them entirely with overriders.

I guess from a purely functional standpoint (for quickjack supports that are actually functional), it would make a little more sense to have the lifting bar on the jack slightly shorter...........maybe I'm being too logical here.

Rick is just avoiding legal issues. Mr. Shelby has patented the rights to all left hand mounted car parts. It was all his idea.

Rick,
Is the pavement angled a bit, or is your car leaning to passenger side? I lookled at raising my driver's side to conpensate for driver's weight, but it didn't make any differnce.

Walter,

It's the pavement...car sits pretty level. This was before the Billstein Shock and the Spring change. If anything the passenger side is up about a 1/4" now. 20 Gallons of fuel will change the ride height also.

I thought so. Your car is just too nice to have anything wrong with it!

Bill Gates found an old notebook of Shelby's notes and wala! That was his idea too.

Walter,

Thanks, but you know you can always find things to re-do on these cars. It's an every year event:).

Brent,
You better be careful or you won't get that Mustang dash signed;).

Rick,
That is a beautiful car.

By the way, My nuts are out and the jacks clear the body fine.
Do you have shorter rods?

Thanks,
Yes, my supports are shorter front and back, like the ones pictures on CSX 3022.
Made them out of Stainlees Steeel and polished them.

Looks good.
I have an old poster of a 427SC with the front jacks upside down.
I guess if he flipped over he could right the car quicker.
