After dinner Friday in the Hampton Inn we engaged in a conversation about turbocharging. I spoke about a car I was able to help with that a friend of mine ownes with a 424ci small block with twin turbos. This is an electronic fuel injected motor without an intercooler and run through a powerglide 2 speed automatic. With the boost backed off and the timing retarded it made a pull on the chassis dyno at 1450hp at the rear wheels. Approx. 2000 at the crank.
1st day out on a light break in pass was 6.97@202mph (shut off early)
Enjoy!

Brent,
We should all pitch in and buy one of these. I'm sure Chirs would be up for making the first pass!

Justin I have no doubt he would!
They have well over 100K in the car. I think I'll pass. (-:
Ralph, they do run alcohol. Compression was too high for gas. Missed you at Homecoming. Everyone was asking about you. Take care!

guys,
come on,quit pickin on me.....it may cause me to develop a twitch along
with my lunacy:).
i would have to get the boost down to make it somewhat streetable......
i have a strange feeling 1450hp might be a slight handful in a cobra.....
i bet it would do 200mph burnouts though......
now leave me alone...i feel a ttttwwwitch coming on...
