Edelbrock just released a dual quad Air-Gap intake for the 351W. Does anyone know if it might fit under the hood of an FIA?

If its no taller than a air gap single 4 it will fit.

Just about any off the shelf intake will fit under the hood of a Unique. I am running a Super Victor, which is about an inch taller than the air-gap. My neighbor just put a 2 X 4 Airgap on his hotrod, and it made a world of difference in throttle response. Also, for what it's worth he purchased the Edelbrock carbs and they worked very well out of the box.

Attached are two images from my 1992 build. The intake is a dual quad high rise from purchased from Tony Branda.
It is seated on a 289 small block. I did have a hood/cowl clearance issue at the rear with the air cleaner. This was resolved by machining a pie wedge from the carb mating surfaces. The milling started with 1/4 inch at the very back edge and ended with 1/16 inch removed on the front edge.
The 8-carb mounting holes were all drilled oversize perpendicular to the new angle and helicoiled to original size.

Clearance was tight but sufficient.
