I'm looking at David Kee's site. There is a 24" and a 27" available. Which is the right one for a Unique? I'm guessing that it is the 24". I'm planning on a wide ratio aluminum Toploader.

I was just reading this thread and may go with the close ratio/3.31 combo.

I have a 27" with a big input and big output shaft, they will work but you have a very short drive shaft. This particular top-loader was for sale by Butch Capps, it had a road race kit and it had other work done to it so I bought it. If I had to buy one and Butch didn't have one for sale I would buy a 24", they just fit much better,. You can't beat the David Kee top loaders, used one in Juan's car, all new stuff and it works great. I am not sold on the aluminum unit for a big block, high torque, engine but for a small block it might be OK. Just my opinion.
