Backwards

I tend to do thinks backwards . I am finishing my engine build before I order my car. I need some help with the oil pan. Is it sump forward or sump back? In addition any recommendations on a pan manufacturer would be appreciated. The motor is a 351w punched to 408. Thanks..

Go any end you want. There's nuthin under the motor to determine where the sump must be - no crossmembers, steering linkage, etc.

Do recommend you use a good pan, tho......with the way you'll be whipping that car thru corners, always best to have a trap-door pan to keep the oil around the pickup. Milodon, Avaid, Stef's, whatever...a good road-race pan will sure help to keep the big grin on your puss.
