Dash Lights

I have been chasing a short in my dash lights. As soon as the dash lights come on the fuse would blow. I found no loose or chaffed wires. Only thing that I can find is that the light in the temp gauge is grounded to the ammeter guage. The light itself was loose in the guage. When I put it in the guage the lights will work unless you bump or move the light itself, then the fuse will blow.

Any suggestions on other things to check?

Which gauges are you using, SW or Autometer?
