that's it ,get personal and call names . I can't be the only person out here who sees how the right wing agenda has you so fooled. Remember Rush is nothing but a drug addict and a hypocrite. I am not a sheep. Keep on following politicians who care nothing for you and are out only for themselves. baaaa baaa. I do not claim to be a democrat, a liberal or a socialist but then again I don't have the wool pulled over my eyes like you clearly do

Question: did you listen to the Rush Limbaugh speech? It is on youtube. It certainly is worth a listen regardless of your political intrests. There is nothing in the stimulus bill or the recent omnibus that is going to help us get out of the mess created by the lack of regulation of Freddie and Fannie and the abuses of the Community Redevelopement Act by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd.

We need tax cuts not bailouts and earmarks to recover our economy. Tax cuts are what got us out of the inflationary recession (stagflation) created in the Carter administration. I was there, I lived it, and survived the 20% interest rates. We need to look at history to get out of this mess. FDR failed, (He had big government funding e.g. the CCC) it was the WWII that got us out of the depression which was followed by a recession which hit again in 1950 and several more times till the 79-80 then we had a few more and we got through them. The difference between then and now is that we let losers fail now we bail them out continuing their failures, today it was AIG tomorrow GM and Chrysler and who knows who else. We punish those who create the jobs with taxes that will cause more layoffs rather than increase employment.

There is no logic in the current policies hence the stock market has no faith in the present administration so the maket is falling like a rock 3800 is now the projected bottom!!

I want the our Country to survive the current policies, bill and acts are destined to create bigger problems for all of us and our kids and grandkids.

i think someone saw Rush... that crackpot

Rush is nothing but a drug addict and a hypocrite.

Rush is an entertainer... and that is about it. Though I rarely listen to him, I agree with some of what he says. Like him or not, it doesn't change the fact that he is an entertainer first.

Part of his schtick (spelling??) is getting under the craw of the leftys... looks like it is working;).

By the way, if you go back and look at the market charts for 3rd and 4th Q last year, it appears that it started tanking at about the same time that Obummer was looking like the winner (except I recall hearing that there was an 800 point surge when it was announced that McCain was not as far off in the polls as thought and was tightening the race). Obummer had the biggest post-election market drop of any president, ever. It appears that it has dropped consistently with his policy and appointment announcements... and that is a matter of record, not politics.

politician no matter what side of the fence can't seem to do anything but create bigger messes.

I think you nailed it there...

Jerry,

Just look at the role model we have for the future..........

California, boy oh boy, makes you wonder, I feel for the good folks out there.

Sorry, but since some of you started this.......

I believe Rush a hell of a lot more than Nancy, Harry, or the other liberal jerks that are driving this country into the ground. So lets be clear where I stand.[thumb]

i could probably go hunting for various correlations to our current economy and decide that it is caused by a full moon. you people love to slam Ca. FYI when Ca. is not the top agricultural producer of a given commodity they are usually in the top 5-10. You can't have a whole state of aggies and still be called left coast socialist. At least i DON'T LIVE ON THE WRONG COAST.
ignorance is bliss, you must be very HAPPY

ralphscott

I think the fact is that we are not happy because we are not ignorant of what is going on. CA is not loaded with socialists but the concentration of liberal thought in the largest cities really puts those in the rural communities at a major disadvantge. I think we all recall that Regan was gov. of CA.

I find it amazing that a president would call out folks like Rush and Glenn by name. Must mean that he is actually concerned about what they are saying or is it that he is afraid that they make more sense than he does and obammy doesn't want the general public who doesn't keep up with things they should to become more informed or start asking more questions.

As far as CA goes the north is georgous, I loved the country up there but couldn't deal with the stupidity that goes with it. Case in point, friend of ours built a pond on HIS property. He stocked it with catfish, he fed them and raised them, he caught them and ate them. The game and fish commission found out and stopped at his home and asked him if he had a fishing permit to catch the fish in his pond, he put there and raised! He didn't they wrote him a ticket. He tore up the ticket then was arrested.

Yes, you and your neighbor can continue to discuss things from a point of ignorance blaming Bush for something Clinton did.

Here read this and learn something.

Yes. The community redevelopment act combined with Barney Frank and Chris Dodd putting pressure on the banks to lower their loan standards and freddie and fannie to buy those flawed assets was the snowball that started the avalanche that we find ourselves in. Make no mistake about this. The access to easy money inflated the price people paid for houses by folks who could not hope to pay for these houses. (They brought these house with the thought of flipping the house for a quick buck.) This practice of loaning money to folks who could not pay for the houses created within the traditional mortgage markets, where bank loans (called debt)are bought by others then sold again as financial investment instruments as bundled loan products, bundled packages with no assertainable value. When the banks cannot sell thier debt to others they have no new capital to make investments, or continue credit lines. So companies that rely on those revolving credit lines have to lay off folks to make their payroll, people stop buying stuff and companies produce less, and hence need less people and it becomes a downward spiral. Further since the banks could not sell the products (in part due to the change of mark to market rules), people could not pay the loans, foreclosures and bank debt increased, house values fell due to foreclosures, financial institutions failed as they could not meet thier commitments to annuities based upon the interest that they traditionally derived from the bundled loan products, to make commitments, then the general selloff of the stock market began as that was the only source of funds to satisfy these and other contracted agreements, as the market went down everyday folks joined the sell-off to preserve their capital, then it got real serious 3000 points down since the election and here we are paying $$ out to keep companies afloat with an artificially creating a faux economy with no credible solution considered by our leaders just more earmarks and hollow promises.
