With the frame back I started putting things together for real and hopefully without having to take it apart again. I had the rear axle all cleaned up and ready to go, so that was the first thing to install. The aligning part was rather tedious but I finally had it in and aligned (at least as close as possible).

Dropped the engine in next, bolted up the headers and installed the sidepipes and steering gear.

I'm now cleaning up front suspension pieces and working on the foot box heat shields, more photos to follow.
To be continued…

Rod,

Nice to see the car coming back together. You've done a lot of exceptionally good work, and it must be good to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Paul, the sway bar came with the car I'm not sure where to get these but it is simply a torsion bar with splined ends, clamp on arms and links to the control arms. I have three different diameters for the rear and 2 for the front.

They are not 427 style, they are actual 427 sidepipes[thumb]

I bet they even came off a 427 car with a 427 engine.....;)

Thanks Rod, sounds like you have lots of variability for dialing-in the perfect ride for street or track;)!

Were the headers with the car or did you have to make them?

The headers came with the car but like everything else they needed to be redone. Looks like you missed this part of the story http://www.uniquecobra.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7656
