I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I have been reviewing as many previous posts as possible to learn more about the Unique kits. It appears to me the roll bar is not centered behind the driver. It looks to be biased towards the center of the car. I looked in previous posts but could not find where this was addressed. Am I correct in this and if so why is that? Due to mounting points maybe?

I asked that very question earlier this year. It appears that is how the originals were. Kirkham is the same way

Bill,
I appreciate the response. Wasn't aware the originals were offset as well. Good to know.

The roll bar has to be supported by the frame, there is no frame rail behind the outside area of the drivers seat.

Alan,
Thanks for the clarification. I thought it might have to do with the mounting point of the roll bar to the frame. Didn't realize the orginals were like that as well. Thanks for responding.

I just happened to remove the body on the one I'm building yesterday. Here's a pic of the roll bar mounts.

If you go to my website www.33autos.com (http://www.33autos.com) and then click on the Gallery section, build photos you can see several more shots of where the roll bar mounts.

Thanks guys. Pictures are worth a thousand words. Very clear from the photos why it needs to be that way.

Yeah, the original cars were offest as well. Here's a shot of CSX2009:
