I'm in the process of building a 351C (full Edelbrock kit) that will drive a Tilton clutch with hydraulic T.O. and (David Kee aluminum?) Toploader to power a FIA I plan to purchase from Unique in the near future. I'd appreciate any tips or links to discount parts pertaining to Clevelands, Tilton clutches, and aluminum Toploaders.

Discount???

Just pay David and forget about it..............;)

I for one don't see any discounted top loaders roaming around out there.

They just continue to get higher not lower.:)

Yeah, as far as I know, David Kee is the ONLY one selling the aluminum Toploader, and it seems reasonable, I guess. I was mainly seeking anyone who might have used one of his aluminum Toploaders and what they thought of it.

My main focus right now is to acquire a Tilton clutch assembly. It seems the only dealer in TX is Taylor Race Eng. in Plano. I'd also appreciate anyone's input who has used Tilton clutches and HRBs. Ive put together the following parts list:

Our resident toploader expert is Butch Capps, owner of Mid South Gear in Knoxville, TN. 865-5244800

You may want to give him a call, we have discussed the aluminum top loader before.

David has these castings made for him on the main case and tailshaft. David also has all new parts for the top loader, he has just take over the top loader business. Most other places go to him for parts.

You may want to buy a original style main case and put an aluminum tailshaft on it. Some weight reduction.

Only Tilton item I have used is the mini gear reduction starter, good item, no problems in turning over a big block 427.
