It is really amazing, the chasm between automotive design and aircraft design of that time. The planes were so much more refined... you would think that the car designers would have taken notice.

Nothing like seeing and hearing a Mustang fly-by with the Merlin's raspy exhaust note. WOW[thumb]!!!
