for about 2 years i've been having problems with the engine not starting when hot, after a drive. this is the final resolution. a sure way to make me feel dumber than a box of rocks.

when first started having dificulty:
i had battery checked, was ok;

then replaced starter with a high torque, seemed to help;

then replaced starter solenoid, maybe helped;

then removed the battery disconnect switch, was hot to touch when trying to start indicating poor electrical conductivity;

then polished and added an additional ground wire to frame, seemed to help;

then found that the hot side battery cable to the starter solenoid was hot when trying to start, discovered that the crimp to battery terminal was bad, the biggest problem. helped a lot !;

but a few weeks later, wouldn't start when hot again.

totally baffled.

took battery to shop to have tested, was bad.

made a complete loop, but it starts now when hot.
